Drummer William “Bili” Turner was born in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Bili Turner has backed such blues legends as Albert King, Chuck Berry, Junior Wells, Sonny Rhodes, Koko Taylor, Willie Dixon, Luther Allison, and even Jimmy Reed for the BBC's "All You Need Is Love" series, filmed at Chicago's famous 1815 Club.
Bili has also worked with renowned jazz musicians Earl Klugh, Sonny Stitt, and trumpeter Marcus Belgrave - a brilliant musician and mentor whom Charles Mingus proclaimed as one of the greatest trumpeters in jazz.
Bili is a regular member of the John “Broadway” Tucker Band.
He is a freelance graphic designer and designed the cover of John “Broadway” Tucker’s 2000 CD Impromptu Blue on which he also played.
